Overview

We have both enjoyed conducting environmental investigation of waterways and wetlands on the south coast of Western Australia for over 30 years. Our investigations have involved assessing their ecological status and considering the management and monitoring issues. We are keen to see a greater appreciation of river and wetland values across the community at the regional, state and national levels.

We are still available for small projects and community engagement activities. This website serves a repository of our reports.

Steve Janicke: Steve’s experience covers stream protection and management in a wide range of fields associated with riparian condition, geomorphological assessment and water quality issues. Steve has been active in community and agency liaison and contributed to a number of Natural Resource Management committees on the south coast of Western Australia.

Geraldine Janicke:  Geraldine has worked in the field of aquatic ecology and riparian assessment and has a broad knowledge of the aquatic fauna of both fresh and saline river systems on the south coast of Western Australia.
